I think I even tried to leave my name, but you need a blog address. I am also pretty computer stupid. I don't have a blog, or a URL or any of those other things. I e-mailed Pat after I posted it to tell her and mentioned she might not be happy with me after she read it. She responded after reading with, "you go girl". She is a wonderfully, open, creative, sensitive woman that I call my friend, and vice-versa. She speaks to many through her pictures, her art and her words and speaks for those without voices. My words don't have the power to make her feelings less. Hopefully, those that are troubled by an "anonymous" comment are more troubled by the issue at hand.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669784103242114412.post-35790842591581601822010-06-15T14:09:06.991-07:002010-06-15T14:09:06.991-07:00I came to Tuesday Tea, and decided to stay for the...I came to Tuesday Tea, and decided to stay for the ecological and environmental debate. I'm either blessed or cursed by living in a land locked state, where "out of sight, out of mind" seems to be the rule. In fact, most of the people I know aren't even aware of the mess BP has made of this entire thing, or their underhanded dealings even before the crisis. Nor do they seem to care. If it isn't affecting their beef or wheat, what's the big stink? Well, one of these days, those beef and that wheat are going to feel the impact, I'm sure.

Thanks for this post. I'm glad to see that others are also making their thoughts known, which is a good thing.Bleubeard and Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10149710375520733752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669784103242114412.post-27434205354078625572010-06-14T19:51:22.054-07:002010-06-14T19:51:22.054-07:00This story is only going to get much worse. And changing the current government will only bring back the ones that served for so many years and got the country into this mess. it is time to work together instead of the partisan politics. If Republicans block everything democrats suggest and say no without an alternate plan, how can the democrats be blamed for not getting something done? And if BP cut corners for whatever reasoon and this catastrophe ocurred, the it is up to BP to fix the problem as quickly as possible regardless of the cost. And as president, it is Obama's responsibility to make sure they do that.Evanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06022675293198562957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669784103242114412.post-71782408127445276982010-06-14T09:06:07.334-07:002010-06-14T09:06:07.334-07:00I know we are all mad and hurting. I blame BP for continuing to operate a facility that was dangerous, and I blame the country (UK) who thinks the US is over reacting to a little problem. Their words, not mine.
Want to help? Teach future caretakers to be more RESPONSIBLE and wiser in choices compared to our own. We're a society that's OD on stupid pills at a mutiple rate daily!

This is a leak of the FINANCIAL kind in the attempt to cut corners, lack of thought in every angle & strategy through a plan PRIOR to drilling! Do you really believe OUR GOV'T. didn't get any financial gain from BP?! WAKE-UP America! It's time to spring clean congress and the senate for the better quality of the people as a whole.

What part of $$$$ can't purchase another EARTH to sustain us DON'T you people understand???!!! We've become a self-centered, self-absorbed society who doesn't care about anything or anyone... it's a crying shame for all involved! Earth is our HOME {house}, which we need to keep in good repair TOGETHER from continent to continent! When do we look at our past and choose better for our childrens and their childrens futures? The ocean is part of the eco system, which we can't exist without.

... on another note...

This ? is poised towards the ANONYMOUS commenters out there...

If you truly believe in a comment you've posted of oppostion to a PERSONAL weblog {journal of OWNERS thoughts & beliefs} WHY do you choose to keep your identity private???

There is consquences for every circumstance, good or bad for every decision!

-frustrated heartbreak in NHAnnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14874702244801733159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669784103242114412.post-51840484524332559742010-06-13T19:54:12.241-07:002010-06-13T19:54:12.241-07:00I am at a loss for words to express my sorrow and ...I am at a loss for words to express my sorrow and pain at how our love of the almighty dollar is killing our wonderful and priceless oceans> Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez StewartMary Helen-Art Saves Liveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06029836981003692830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669784103242114412.post-7205112478416993642010-06-13T11:29:08.187-07:002010-06-13T11:29:08.187-07:00One thing I haven't heard anyone talking about...One thing I haven't heard anyone talking about is the role of state govt. Specifically Louisiana and their relationship with oil companies in their own back yard. I know their economy is depressed and needs all the help it can get - but there should be stricter environmental guidelines on the state level to back up the failures on the federal level. People complain that environmentalists choke the up free market system ..... but they (the environmentalists) are also our jiminy cricket conscience that questions "drill baby drill" policy.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10818795902981871173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669784103242114412.post-94532180915558822010-06-13T11:18:19.742-07:002010-06-13T11:18:19.742-07:00So sad. But then they want the government to step in and get a waiver for a long-held act. Bend the rules when it suits. Stay out when it doesn't. I think we all need this disaster as a wake up call. Big business especially. I think we need to see the results of our quest for more and more oil and to live with those pictures and put pressure on the companies that don't operate as they should.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669784103242114412.post-68391323182430373482010-06-12T16:24:11.239-07:002010-06-12T16:24:11.239-07:00The whole thing is a total disgrace. The whole thing is a total disgrace.Gene Blackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15731141629634998152noreply@blogger.com
