Tea on Tuesday

I pull out my favorite mug by Richard of Glenfiddich Farm Pottery - Japanese salt glazed, and mixed together 2 loose leaf teas. Lemon Grass and Licorice Root taste really good together. I find I can't drink too much of the licorice root tho-  and it does come with warnings on the bag!!!

The view below, is at the beginning of my 1,000 foot driveway- the original Hebron Mennonite Church, dated mid 1800's. There is a new brick church right next to it- hopefully, this old one won't be torn down. The fog hangs midway down the mountain, the nighttime temps have dropped close to freezing or below. Can't believe it is already November.......................

Please feel free to join us every Tuesday for tea- and visit Kimmie and Patty for a list of the other tea lovers!

  1. G'morn ~ You captured the church picture so beautifully ... I would hope it wouldn't be torn down also. It has such a charm ...

  2. Beautiful mug! I love lemon grass but have never mixed it with licorice. I do mix it with spearmint...it's very soothing together.

The view from the end of your driveway is beautiful. It would be a true sin to tear that old building down. Surely that's not an option on the table. Maybe you can drag it over to your place if they ever reach that point. :)

    Happy Tea Tuesday.

  3. OHHH! I love that mug. I really must try this tea. In fact, I've never heard of it, but that's the joy of visiting. I am exposed to so many wonderful new teas and tea "finery."

Like you, I hope they don't tear down this stunning church. In Europe they would preserve such beauties, but we seem to want to demolish them. Your photograph of this beauty is enhanced by the autumn backdrop that nature provided. Simply WONDERFUL. Must run. I'm late, but HAD to stop by before I go to wish you a happy Tea Tuesday.

A little dusting of snow and your church picture would be such a pretty Christmas card!

  8. Wonderful photograph of the church and the mist on the mountain. I've just returned from my Virginia visit and had lunch with my niece in Harrisonburg. Loved being back in the valley and seeing the fall color.

    Best,
