Short but sweet (I hope) post- fab and fugly thrift store find today- could not resist- it will be in my Etsy shop soon, along with last week's violet chocolate pot and orphan teacup).
Tea, sweet, iced, and Lipton was enjoyed in the newly penned up grazing area for the horses.
In my soccer mom chair (with a footrest and double drink holders, no less!), finishing up Nicholas and Alexandra, Keeping an eye on the horses- with the woodpeckers calling to each other, the river running, and the wind whipping thru the trees!
And, when heading back to the house- I met up with the first little toad of the season!!!
He's a bit camera shy........
Please feel free to join us every Tuesday for tea - visit Patty and Kimmie for a list of other tea lovers!!!
The sweet smell of grass and horses :) Love your Tea spot! Toad was out too, must be Spring :)
ReplyDeleteThe thrift store find is beautiful, how pretty with the flowers!
Oh we have a couple of those chairs! We had a cold and rainy day so the sunshine in your photo was a very welcome sight!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely day! I ran across a toad just like that this morning, but didn't think to get a photo of him. We are warm here too, very warm in fact. Lots of iced tea for me these days. YOur lamp is the cutest thing! Aren't thrift stores the greatest! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Happy tea day to you.
ReplyDeleteVery fun post, the thrift store find is incredible! I want to go to *your* thrift store! Mine pales by comparison. The chair is neat, and toadie looks pretty OK for someone sitting on all those sharp stones.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness me... I want to go to your thrift store!! How can you stand to part with it, it is so cute!! Lovely to sit in the paddock drinking tea - even if the wind was blowing. Your little toad looks quite happy hopping about - I have heaps of them in my pond in the garden at home in Scotland... haven't tried turning them into princes though! ;) Happy Tea Tuesday!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable tea post. I love the chair, and no, I don't have any like that. I love the green meadow, and no, I don't have one of those, either. What fun it must be to live in your world, drinking tea, sitting in the sun, and visiting what looks like a successful thrift store. Hope the day was as fun as I imagined it was for you. Happy Tea Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteYour tea lamp is amazing! I have never seen anything like that before.
ReplyDeleteYour chair out in the open like that looks so inviting and calming.
I am sorry you did not get into the swap! I did send you an e-mail with the swap questions so I could match you up, but I never did hear back. I am not sure what happened. I do hope that next tea cup swap you can be in it for sure.
Hugs,
Terri
Oh my gosh I have toad stories...with six kids and we live by a sand pit...some have disappeared never to be found again-in the house!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Tuesday!
I can almost hear the sounds of nature out under the big blue sky! Lennie
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I missed your post on Tuesday ! And then yesterday was truly an AWOL day for me ! But the sight of your toes peeking out of your sandals really brought a smile to my face! Those days really are coming soon aren't they? I have hope again! Hugs, kimmie
