Late Afternoon Tea on Tuesday

As the day escapes me, with gardening, horse care, errands, etc, taking away my free time, I am finally here for tea  !!!

As the wind is roaring past my windows, carrying with it the promise of yet another thunderstorm, I will post quickly, in case the power flickers, and I lose it all!!

I did get a pic of my tea this morning- and what I had after lunch!!!

Below is my favorite Lady Grey tea, with local honey, in a thrift store pottery mug, with strawberries and homemade whipped cream, over my special "feather weight" pound cake, in a thrift store pottery bowl.

Had to use up all those strawberries - so here is my afternoon snack!!

The purple lilacs are winding down, the whites are still bursting forth, so I picked a quick bouquet.

Among my things to do today (and every day) is to exercise the dogs.  Here is Sunny, relaxing after his day out, on his (er, MY) bed!!! Gotta love the Sun-man!!! This is why you will NEVER see one of my handmade quilts on my bed...........................

Please drop by every Tuesday for tea, and visit Patty and Kimmie for a list of other Tuesday tea lovers!

  3. Wow! Your post may be short and sweet, but I'm in love with the tea mug, the morning strawberries, and the afternoon strawberries. This is the ONLY way I like strawberries, too. And I was glad to meet your little guy (dog). I'm not sure I've met Sunny before. Hope you had a joyous Tea Tuesday and didn't work TOO hard between breakfast and lunch.

  6. Oh, I love your snack :) yum! Our lilac bushes are just getting leaf buds! We usually pick the flowers by the third week in May, but it has been a bit cooler this season. Our day was a bit cloudy/rainy/windy, off and on all day :) good day for inside stuff. Your dog looks precious with his paws up on the footboard :)

  9. I love everything! From the pottery to the strawberries to the lilacs to the sweet dog giving you that sideways stare :)

Our lilacs haven't started yet, but they have lots of buds .... And the tulips have lasted Forever because of our cold weather. It's a colder than normal spring up here ... But it's still spring!

Stay safe in the storms that roll through your part of the country!

Happy tea on any day! Kimmie
