Tea on Tuesday
Did you know today is International Women's Day? That's what my calendar tells me- so, I raise my teacup to all my "fellow" women out there!!!!!
In today's teacup is Kroger's Private Collection brand- acai, pomegranate, blueberry green tea- it seems to cover all those healthy fruits in one hot drink!!!
It's kind of redundant- the name of the tea, then the description below- the name is kind of self explanatory, don't ya' think?
I'm sipping this flavorful tea in one of my "new" fabulous finds!! This was a real score- to me, anyway!!! I found these in the antique shop, while checking up on my own booth.
Hidden away in a tiny booth were 5 of these little beauties for the sum total of $3.99! I could NOT resist!!
I bought them with the full intent of putting them on eBay or in my Etsy shop, but really fell in love with them when I unwrapped them at home.
They are museum reproduction pieces from the Henry Ford Museum. The design is reminiscent of the early 1900's in quite modern day colors.
Here is my group of five, circled around a vintage carafe that I've had for about 25+ years.
Also on my breakfast table this morning, is a throwaway vintage piece, rescued from the trash - with a little silver polish, and a dried flower found in my woods (hiding the bends and crimps in the piece). It turns out to be a quadruple silver piece circa 1896-98. My favorite era for dinnerware, silverware, and fashion- so it's a keeper, despite its damage.
Last, but not least, in celebration of International Women's Day and Tea on Tuesday, I am giving away ONE small canning jar of peppermint tea leaves. As you can see, I have more that enough to last me!!! I bought bulk from Frontier, and would love to share.
So, leave a comment on this post, and let me know if you are interested in entering for the tea giveaway. A random name will be chosen at the end of today. Please feel free to join us every Tuesday for tea. Please stop by and visit Kimmie and Patty for a list of all the tea partiers!

Second, I am having a little giveaway.
I recently purchased Angela Cartwright and Sarah Fishburn's Volume 11 of their wonder-full Pasticcio Quartz book.
As I was reading it, I realized, I had already ordered this issue !! I got swept up in the excitement of thinking a new volume was hot off the presses and without checking, just blindly ordered it!!!
So, my mistake, is someone's gain!!
These little books are a fabulous compilation of everything artsy, from blog artist interviews, to paper dolls, poetry, famous quotes, rubber stamps, art history, and a mind boggling assortment of inspiring art, eye candy, photos, links, and how-to's. Alot of creativity between those covers!

Pretty Much a Wasted Day......

After doing basically nothing yesterday - a day full of "should do's, wanna do's, and must do's", I did NOTHING!!!
Was kind of nice, actually!!!
Toward the end of the day, I was blog surfing and read Kimmie's post about matchbox stuffing!!! Can you imagine - she actually stumbled on a club for this?!?! It is called The International League of Championship Matchbox Stuffers!!!
Kimmie artfully stuffed a matchbox, and since I had nothing else to do, I thought I would give it a try. It was fun - and now I have a decorated matchbox stuffed with 33 teeny items! The top stuffer got 104 very teeny items in their matchbox! I'm quite happy with 33!!! These assorted little treasures would be perfect for using in ATC's.
I can now say I did accomplish something creative today!!!
So, visit Kimmie - see what she has created, and follow her link to see what champion matchbox stuffers have done with theirs!
Oh, and the LAST person to comment here before midnight on Halloween- wins my matchbox!!!!!Just think what you can do with all those little treasures!!!! You know you want it - LOL

Pay it Forward!!!!
During my blog surfing one day, I came across the phrase, "Pay it forward"
This piqued my interest, so I clicked on the blog and read further. The blog is My Quilted Nest
She was the recipient of a 'pay it forward' gift, and was now paying it forward. I signed up, (who could resist?), and now I am paying it forward. I have not received my goody in the mail - but I know it will come someday when I least expect it!!! It's also a great blog - you should drop in!!!
I "lifted" the explanation below from Quilted Nest, hope she doesn't mind.
" If you are unfamiliar with the process, it works like this: the first three people who comment on this post will receive something hand-made (and maybe a little something extra!) from me within the next 365 days. In turn, you promise to pay it forward and make something for three people who comment on your blog. It's way fun."
I may change the time frame a little- in 365 days, I would forget who gets what - so I will make it 3 months. With no distractions on my end, the commentor may get their gift alot sooner!!! All goodies will be different - and right now I have no clue what they will be!!!
Remember, it is limited to the 1st THREE people who leave a comment and are bloggers and followers, or are bloggers and become a follower.............then you must promise to pay it forward on your blog.
Ready, set, GO!!!!!!!
